Quail Point Kennels believes in quality over quantity. We are not a “puppy mill,” and offer a
limited number of litters each year. We carefully choose our dams and sires, and feature excellent
bloodlines. All dogs come with a guarantee of health, and all litters are registered with the Field
Dog Stud Book, AKC, or both. While the majority of our dogs find hunting or field trialing homes,
they make excellent companion pets too. Of course, all the dogs in our kennels are both hunters
and cherished family members.
Reserving Your Puppy:
Quail Point Kennels' puppies go fast! Often, litters are sold out or reserved shortly after birth,
long before the pups are ready for new homes. We highly recommend reserving a puppy early. All
deposits are non-refundable. Unless stated otherwise, actual puppy choice is first-come, first-
served for the gender you've reserved, not in the order that deposits were reserved.
Payment:
A non-refundable $100 down-payment reserves your puppy. For your convenience, we accept checks,
money orders, cash, or credit card payment (via PayPal only). To use a credit card, simply open a
FREE PayPal account at: https://www.paypal.com/. The balance is due when you pick up your puppy,
or prior to air shipment. Please make checks payable to "Greg Bayer" or "Chris Kahlan".
Pick Up At The Quail Point Kennels:
Puppies may be picked up from us once they turn 7 weeks of age. You’ll receive a health guarantee,
shot/worming record, and registration paperwork along with your puppy.
Returns:
Unless otherwise stated in writing, we do not accept returns or offer refunds.
Shipping:
Quail Point Kennels is happy to choose a puppy for you, and ship it to an airport near your home.
Airlines generally do not accept pups for shipping until they are 8 weeks old. We prefer to ship
via Delta, but if you like another carrier, that’s no problem. Shipping costs range from $160 –
$250 depending on the airline, and costs are subject to change. We ask you to prepay the actual
cost of shipping (we do not “pad” the cost), or the pup can ship collect via Delta.
A veterinarian-issued health certificate is also required by the airline. We’ll take your pup to the
vet and obtain the certificate, and invoice you for the actual cost (about $50).
Finally, your new Quail Point puppy must ship in a USDA-approved kennel (crate). A crate costs
$40-$50 (we ask that you prepay the actual amount). We’ll buy the crate, and upon receiving your
new hunting partner or family pet, you’ll then have the crate necessary for house training,
traveling, sleeping, etc. until he/she grows out of it (to keep shipping costs down, we ship pups in
small crates).

Don’t let the costs of shipping a dog deter you. Keep in mind that purchasing a quality dog
from a reputable breeder SAVES you money in the long run, as you avoid health and
behavioral problems that may be associated with lesser blood lines and/or low-quality
breeding programs.
